IP address blacklisting means that your website/mail server is included in the DNSBL or SURBL blacklist maintained by various organizations.
For example, if your website sends a large number of emails to users and users mark them as "spam", your site may also be blacklisted.
DNSBL stands for Domain Name System Blacklist. Also known as DNS Blacklist. this is the first line of defence.
In this case, the administrator has the ability to block mail sent by a specific IP with a history of sending spam mail.
These lists are based on the domain name system of the Internet, where the IP address is converted into an easy-to-read domain name.
If a blacklist maintainer has received spam messages from a specific domain name in the past, it will blacklist that server. And also blacklists all messages coming from that server.
SURBL (Spam URI RBL), acts as the second line of defense and it is a collection of website domains that appear in unsolicited messages.
It simply checks the body of incoming email messages and compares them with blacklists of website addresses. If it contains blacklisted web addresses, those messages are considered spam.
Blacklist Lookup is a tool designed to check if a website's IP address is blacklisted in DNSBL, as mentioned above.
You can do this easily and for free by using SEOCoreTools' Blacklist Lookup tool.
